Bots are (automated) scripts of any kind which simulate activity in an account (the automated scripts which are part of the game are not included). Using bots of any kind is strictly prohibited and is punishable by account deletion.

It is prohibited to cause excessive data transfer (e.g. by auto-refreshing) and to slow down the operation of the game. Automatic or semi-automatic scripts that send queries to the database are forbidden. In case of violation your account will be deleted or banned without warning. Claims for defects in the amount of the caused damage and resulting administration effort are reserved by the Game's Team.

The game team will perform regular account pruning which result in the permanent deletion of an account. These database cleanups are needed to ensure that only active players are playing the game, contributing to an overall great experience.

The accounts that will be deleted in this way will always meet the following rules:

a) The account will have NO VIP days. As long as your account has VIP days (Donor days) left, it will never be deleted automatically by our system's cleanup mechanism.

b) The account has been marked as inactive. An "inactive" account is one that it's user has NOT logged in for a period of more than 20 days. After that period of time the account is eligible for automatic removal / deletion.

7. Contributions / Donations

Contributions to the Universe-Online game, no matter if by Paypal, Fortumo or any other way, are in no way to be given back or compensated. They are considered to be contributions to help maintain the game running.

Donating to the game is a completely voluntary act and does not oblige the game team in any way.

When an account is punished for not following the current rules, the game’s team is not obligated to move any residual VIP/Donor days to a new account or to compensate the player in any way.

The game team reserves the right to cease operation of the game or of individual game universe at any time without having to state reasons for this. At this case the users are not entitled to compensation of any kind for donations they might have made or residual VIP/Donor days in their accounts.

8. Seasonal Reset

All players accept the seasonal game's life cycle. Universe-Online is played in "Seasons". Each Season starts at an announced date and ends when any Alliance in the game completes the Seasonal Mission.

After the completion of the Seasonal Mission, the season's winners are defined taking into consideration their own ranking and their alliance's ranking. The Game Team reserves the right to choose to award the winners of a Season with any kind of reward (announced by the end of the respected season).

After a season has ended, the game will continue to operate for a period of time decided by the game team to allow for the application of patches and updates. After that period the date of the new Season's beginning will be formally announced.

When a new Season begins, all accounts are "reset". This means that they are stripped from all Colonies, Facilities, Units, Technologies, Materials, Bounties, Influences, log entries, Lore entries, Quests/Missions, Rank titles and ranking points of any kind (population, PvP, dungeons etc). All alliances are automatically disbanded and deleted.

Character Points (if any exist) are set to a cap of 1000, while the Donor Days of each account are not adjusted, although the Game Team reserves the right to freely give a number of new Donor Days to some or all players.

All accounts are left with only the starting colony and resources (just as if they have been created from scratch).
